Algad's inferiority complex is leaking but I will give him a little chance since it seems the author is still holding way to flesh out his character. I would be very disappointed if he turned out to be a stereotypical stuck up prick, though.

I get a feeling that Anis stealing this accomplishment from him might end up being the last straw for him though…he’s already involved with some shady people. I only see a dark path ahead of him. Could be wrong though.

Yes, I was thinking about that as well. I think he will become the main antagonist of this story but also believe his character can still be developed.

I reckon he's just going to be a puppet. The shady minister is probably the true mastermind and just lets Algard think he's in charge.

Well, besides his inferiority complex, its pretty clear he is being mislead and manipulated by others. This is just conjecture but I bet many nobles want a puppet king. Poison and slowly mislead his ego starting at a young age creating and feeding his complex, once trusted, continue to be his aid and "trustworthy ally", help him win the throne. Spread rumors etc. Make him act up. However once he secured the throne he will be easily influenced any which way, while these "allies" get higher positions. Hell if he becomes useless he would be an easy target for assassination by his "allies". I bet the current king and others who could oppose him at that point in time would be in very poor situations to help or oppose what Algad is doing.
However seeing how the anime is going, it will be stopped before this happens due to the princesses antics. Kinda like this episode at the end. Prince: Let me beat the dragon so I can screw you over father and take the throne for myself. Annis: Like said above, sorry first come first serve, I am taking the magic stone for myself. Oh and father deal with the aftermath. Later~ lol

We're only a quarter-way through this season and this show is absolutely killing it. Having a score of 7.90 on MAL and beating out other shows like Nier, Buddy Daddy's, Nagataro, and many other big names. This is super rare for a Shoujo Ai and I hope it keeps it up.

I think Nier hasn’t really had a chance to spread its wings yet…sad that it is now delayed but I’m pretty positive its reception will get better as the show progresses, whenever that happens…😅

That said, yuri/shoujo ai or not, this show has been consistently great so far, and it has an easy-to-understand charm to it, so I’m not surprised it’s being received well.

I love Nier but i think it doesn't work as well as an Anime. The story is made to be experienced as a game and it shows.

I always telling my friend this that Nier is better as a game and not anime. Like not all games are good animes and not all animes are good games.

And there are games that would absolutely make good animes, but the anime they do make is terrible with all the fight scenes being sliding stills *coughStarOceanEXcough*

I trust your taste in anime enough to give Nier a 12 episode chance XD

To be fair Nier is a niche. I personally played the game and wasnt absorbed into it like the critics who were raving about it. The gameplay was clunky and locating the objectives were terrible to say.

As for the plot it can be a hit or miss. The plot requires some line of outside the box thinking. The best comparison I could use would be Nier requires the player to understand abstract philosophy and piece the plot together as if you were watching Boogie Pop Phantom anime where the plot is told in reverse chronological order.

Or those who dont know that example. It would be like trying to watch the highly critically acclaimed movie "Arrival" some like it, as for me it was like watching paint dry on a wall.

I will say 2B has the most polygons on her ašš in gaming history.

Then it's perfect for me. I like different parallel events
running to the singularity point of conclusion.

No idea what's nier all about, I'm just waiting for the nier collab in octopath cotc lol

I actually played octopath lol. I rage quit because the final boss through the hell portal is fking insane and my party had to be split up in half and basically my 2nd party that i never used was underleveled asf.

I only played the first nier. I figured i didnt like it after the first playthrough and dropped. Seeing how i didnt like the 1st game I didnt bother to buy the 2nd. I will say the OST was probably the best part about the game imo.

As someone who likes yuri, this is worth every penny! XD

she does have it rough with both times she falls in love but one was fooling around with her and then she had to compete with against the protaganist even though its kinda funny how close sayaka and yuu end up being i could easily picture them together if Touko isn't in the picture

Yep, can't believe Sayaka and Yuu became so close and still hang out after graduating.

I'm glad Haru pursued her. She's the prim and proper well-reserved type... Haru is sunny and straightforward... they are lovely together. XD
